A player for the visual novels you own. Sign in with your Steam account, download your games to iPhone or iPad, and play them with touch, a keyboard and pointer, or a controller.

Shiori doesn’t sell or include any games. It plays the ones in your library.

Requirements

  • iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later.
  • A Steam account that owns the games you want to play.
  • Enough free space for the games (Settings › Storage shows what’s used).
  • iCloud Drive, to sync saves between devices (optional).

Signing in

  • QR code: open the Steam app on another device, tap the shield, scan the code and approve.
  • Use Account Name: sign in with your account name and password, then approve in the Steam app, click the link Steam emails you, or enter your Steam Guard code.

Your password is encrypted, goes only to Steam, and is never stored.

If sign-in fails: check the time and date are set automatically, try the other method, and make sure Steam isn’t asking you to confirm the sign-in elsewhere. Signing in on one device signs in your other devices through iCloud Keychain.

Signing out: Settings › Account › Sign Out. This ends the session with Steam and signs out every device; downloaded games stay.

Saves

  • iCloud: each game’s saves sync through iCloud Drive, so you can stop on iPhone and continue on iPad.
  • Steam Cloud: games that use Steam Cloud sync with your PC too. Saves upload when a game closes; any cloud copy they replace is backed up on your device first. Turn uploads off in Settings › Saves.
  • When two copies differ, the newer one wins and the other is kept in the game’s saves/conflicts folder.

Patches

  • A game’s page lists the patches available for it, with a link to each patch’s source: download one and it installs into the game’s patch folder. You can queue patches before the game itself is downloaded; they install when it finishes.
  • Import Patch on the game page adds a patch file you already have.
  • Every game is a plain folder in the Files app (On My iPhone › Shiori), so you can add or change files yourself.
  • Adult patches appear only when your Steam store preferences allow adult content.

Controls

Tap to read on. Two-finger tap opens the game’s menu. Two-finger swipes: down for the backlog, right to skip, up for auto. Two-finger hold to leave. Settings › About › Controls has the full list for touch, keyboard, pointer and controller.
